# Bishop Museum Invites ʻOhana to a Dinosaur Doubleheader With "Jurassic Park" and Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep
Honolulu, Hawaiʻi — Bishop Museum, the State of Hawaiʻi Museum of Natural and Cultural History, invites local and visiting ʻohana to embark on a prehistoric journey full of dinosaurs. During Museum After Hours on Friday, January 9, attendees will enjoy an outdoor screening of the iconic feature, "Jurassic Park" — plus, this will be one of the last chances for guests to explore the Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep exhibit before it closes on January 25.
The $10 pre-sale admission includes access to Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep in the Museum's Castle Memorial Building until 7 p.m. "Jurassic Park" begins at 6:30 p.m. on its Great Lawn. Admission also includes access to the Museum's galleries through 7 p.m., as well as activities for the whole family such as kōnane games (open to all experience levels). Food and beverages will be available for purchase on the Great Lawn from 5 p.m.

About "Jurassic Park" (1993)
Directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Michael Crichton and David Koepp, based on Crichton's 1990 novel.

"Jurassic Park" is set on the fictional island of Isla Nublar near Costa Rica, where a wealthy businessman and a team of genetic scientists have created a wildlife park of de-extinct dinosaurs. When industrial sabotage leads to a catastrophic shutdown of the park's power facilities and security precautions, a small group of visitors struggle to survive and escape the now perilous island.
About Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep
Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep guides guests through the fascinating chronicles of oceanic dinosaurs, answering key questions along the way such as what they ate, where they lived, and how we know they existed. Designed by Stage 9 Exhibits, the exhibit features lifelike animatronic dinosaurs with realistic movement and sound along with interactive elements throughout the exhibit, including tools and equipment to scan for fossils in rocks and simulate a fossil dig.
