Honolulu, Hawaiʻi — Bishop Museum, the State of Hawaiʻi Museum of Natural and Cultural History, invites members of the media to two opportunities to explore and engage with the efforts being made to preserve the Earth's marine biodiversity.

Explore EXCORE: The Art of Underwater Science transforms the Museum's J. M. Long Gallery into a theater of crystal-clear underwater videos, originally captured in 8K resolution, showcasing some of the world's most unexplored oceanic regions and unencountered aquatic creatures. Each video frame is more than a stunning visual; it's a permanent scientific record of 21st-century reef biodiversity, preserved today for generations to come.

This tour is part of Bishop Museum's Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Learning Exchange Event that brings together marine conservationists from Hawaiʻi, the continent, and other Pacific territories to share information about aquatic invasive species response-planning. In 2024, as part of this ongoing partnership and effort, Bishop Museum launched a website to raise awareness and share resources about AIS both in our island waters and around the world.
