# Bishop Museum Hosts Science & Sustainability Festival

Annual Festival provides opportunities for local families and visitors to explore sustainability, connect with Museum scientists, and engage with community partners from across the state.

Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum is hosting its Science & Sustainability Festival on Saturday, March 26 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. throughout its 15-acre campus. The annual Festival provides opportunities for local families and visitors to explore sustainability, connect with Museum scientists, and engage with community partners from across the state.

Bishop Museum's Science & Sustainability Festival features a reduced admission rate of $5 for kamaʻāina and military with ID. Reduced admission is also available to all guests who sign the Parley AIR Pledge, and show their pledge upon admission to the Museum. This pledge is a commitment to protecting our oceans from plastic debris by making changes in your everyday life. The Festival is free for Bishop Museum Members, and pre-registration is recommended.

This year's Festival theme focuses on relevant topics of today – specifically the conservation and sustainability of ʻāina, "land, or that which provides."

"For decades, Bishop Museum has been actively engaged in research and providing educational programming on today's hot topics of sustainability, conservation, biodiversity, and food resiliency," said Brandon Bunag, vice president of public programs and interim director of education. "Our Science & Sustainability Festival invites local ʻohana, keiki, and visitors to meet and engage with our scientists and researchers in person, as well as with experts from our government and nonprofit partners from across the state."

Bishop Museum Admission, Parking, and Hours

Timed General Admissions can be booked on the hour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at BishopMuseum.org/Tickets. Tickets for Bishop Museum After Hours events can be purchased via this same webpage.

The safety and health of our visitors and employees remain our highest priorities. Guests are asked to wear face masks that cover both the nose and mouth at all times while visiting our indoor spaces. Face masks are highly encouraged outdoors, but not required.
