The News Room exists so that journalists, researchers, and the public can find and use Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum’s official announcements. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Our content

News releases, images, and other materials on this site are the property of the Museum or are used with permission. News release text may be quoted or republished for reporting and educational purposes with attribution to Bishop Museum. Images offered in press kits are provided for media coverage of the Museum; credit “Bishop Museum” unless a caption states otherwise. Other uses require written permission via Media@BishopMuseum.org.

AI-generated answers

Ask the Archive produces automatically generated summaries of our published releases. It is a research aid, not an official statement: answers may be incomplete or contain errors, and the cited news releases themselves are the authoritative record. Before publishing anything based on an AI answer, verify it against the releases it cites. The Museum is not responsible for conclusions drawn from AI-generated summaries.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the site in ways that interfere with its operation for others — including flooding Ask the Archive with automated queries or attempting to access non-public areas. Embedding our headlines widget on other websites is welcome.
