Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the Collection and see live specimens from the Museum's Captive Rearing Program.
Honolulu, Hawaiʻi — Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum invites the public to its Malacology Open House this Saturday, June 24 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The Museum has the most comprehensive collection of Pacific Island land snails in the world, with nearly six million mollusk specimens housed in its Malacology Collection. The Open House presents the rare opportunity to explore the Collection and see live specimens from the Museum's Captive Rearing Program.
