Online fundraiser supports the mission, staff, and work of Bishop Museum and features exclusive Museum experiences
Honolulu, Hawaiʻi — Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum, the State of Hawai'i Museum of Natural and Cultural History, is pleased to once again present E Ulu A Paʻa, an 11-day online auction supporting the mission, staff, and work of Bishop Museum. The event will feature exclusive Museum experiences, from private tours of the Museum's vast Cultural and Natural Science collections, to a pizza party and lava pour demonstration in the Museum's volcano!
E Ulu A Paʻa will be held from 3 p.m. HST Thursday, Aug. 15 to 9 p.m. HST Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, online at BishopMuseum.cbo.io.
"Our entire Bishop Museum ʻOhana shares our sincere mahalo for the community's continued support of Hawaiʻi's Museum," said Janet Bullard, Bishop Museum vice president of advancement and marketing communications, and acting director of government relations. "It is an exciting time for us as we prepare new, original exhibitions for our guests, as well as exciting new programming featuring noted cultural practitioners and leaders in the effort to protect our Islands' precious biodiversity. Private Tours of Bishop Museum's Cultural and Natural Science Collections
It's said that a visitor may only experience a small percentage of the more than 25 million cultural objects, printed materials, and natural science specimens in Bishop Museum's vast collections. Five behind-the-scenes opportunities to explore beyond the Museum's exhibits and galleries are up for bid, with access to not only the collections but also to the Museum staff who care for them.
Custom Five-course Meal With Executive Chef Kevin Nakata
Recipients will enjoy an intimate culinary experience in the comfort of their own home, compliments of SSA Group. Former Waialae Country Club, Hawaiʻi Convention Center, and Royal Hawaiian Hotel chef Kevin Nakata will design a custom five-course private dinner for six.
"Life Of The Land: Mauna Loa Eruption 2022" by Leslie Gleim
This framed fine art aerial photograph depicts the 2022 eruption of Mauna Loa on Hawaiʻi Island, the largest active volcano in the world. The print measures 22" x 29.5" without its frame, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
