Bishop Museum to Reopen Thursday, Sept. 24
In accordance with the latest mandates from City and State officials, Bishop Museum will reopen for business beginning Thursday, September 24. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
For the safety of guests and employees, the following new health and safety protocols will be in effect:
- All visitors age five and older will be asked to undergo a temperature check prior to entering the Museum's campus. Anyone displaying a temperature 100.4°F and above will not be allowed entry.
- All visitors age five and older must wear face masks at all times while on campus. Face masks must cover both the nose and mouth. The following will not be allowed: the use of face shields without face masks; gaiters; face masks with valves.
- Group sizes must be five persons or less, with no exceptions.
In addition to the above, the following protocols will continue to be in effect:
- Visitors are encouraged to purchase timed tickets online, at BishopMuseum.org/Tickets.
- All buildings' maximum posted capacities must be adhered to. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy self-directed exploration within the Museum's indoor spaces, and more interactive experiences on the Museum's Great Lawn.
- All visitors must practice social distancing of at least 6' between all persons.
The Museum appreciates its guests' patience and understanding, as capacity within indoor spaces is limited due to the new City guidelines. Similarly, for health and safety reasons, interactive exhibits, including touch screen displays, are closed. Currently, the Planetarium remains closed and the Science Adventure Center is open on a limited access basis. Please visit www.bishopmuseum.org for more information.
